The role is just outside Grantham and so you require your own transport
Working alone or as part of a small team to ensure the integrity of product/packaging meets customer specifications and legal obligations. In addition, you will be responsible for the timely sampling, testing and preparation of production batches as well as incoming ingredients and finished products, where applicable.
Adaptable/flexible to meet requirements and demands of production and seasonal fluctuations
Must hold a current Basic Food hygiene certificate (to be achieved within 6 months)
Organoleptic Sensory training (to be achieved within 6 months), where applicable
Must be able to prioritise work loads in line with production and packing requirements
Must be vigilant at all times, to ensure detection of non-conforming paperwork and line faults

Under the leadership of the Shift Leader run, Action Teams to address negative variances.
Responsibility for line labour control and optimisation by day /week.

Ensure all internal & external audits are well prepared and full support is given to the Compliance team in achieving accreditation from both customers and external bodies
Carry out daily Health & Safety checks, (Prestart checks, PPE checks, etc)and daily audits and promote ongoing safe working with your teams ensuring all Accident Investigations are signed off as per the specified time intervals.
Promote the new Behavioural Safety Programme to drive toward an accident free culture in conjunction with the Near Miss Reporting system and in line with KPIs
Promote a quality aware culture with the adherence and understanding of all product standards, Product Safety procedures and GMP.
Deliver Continuous Improvement through the involvement of your teams in Work Place Organisation and the application of LEAN Principles under the guidance of your Shift Leader.
Deliver through your teams a Line Profit Improvement Project in conjunction with Engineering and your Shift Leader.
Work in conjunction with the Engineering Team Leaders to ensure that the Dept PPM activity is correctly planned in.
