As IDVA you will undertake the following duties: Work with victims of domestic violence to help them access services to keep them and their children safe. Focus on high risk victims, provide a pro-active, short to medium term service based on the care pathway and incorporate risk assessment and safety planning. Support the empowerment of the client and assist them in recognising the dynamics of domestic violence. Work within a multi-agency setting and keep the client’s safety central to all coordinated responses this will include regular participation in the MARAC. Keep and maintain accurate and confidential records and contribute to monitoring information for the project. Act as the Key Worker and advocate for all women accessing the IDVA services. Access all appropriate services to meet the needs of women living in their own home within the community, in order to provide a safe and secure environment within which their physical, emotional, intellectual and social wellbeing is promoted. Be aware of and implement Child Protection Procedures in accordance with the Child Protection/Safeguarding Policy.
