Specialising in the manufacture of technically demanding components for a broad base of clients in the automotive industry, my client requires an experienced, “hands on” Setter able to condition set, tool change, process trouble shoot and optimise a range of injection moulding machinery ranging from 160 tonnes-750 tonnes fitted with 3-axis pick and place robots.

As Setter you will be required to produce a broad range of parts and components utilising materials such as glass filled nylon.

Person Requirements:
The ideal applicant will hold a relevant qualification and/or undergone formal training (BPTA, G&A Moulding etc.) The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of injection moulding materials, coupled with a solid understanding of injection moulding machinery and automation/robots.

Confidence to work on own initiative is required as is the ability to effectively communicate with others.

Duties

Role:

The successful candidate will be of Degree/HND calibre in an Engineering discipline, have strong technical awareness of product and process coupled with sound awareness of current safety legislation, and an awareness of modern manufacturing techniques (e.g. TPM, OEE, Asset care).
In addition the ideal candidate will have experience of AutoCAD for product design and assembly drawings. Ideally, the ideal applicant will have gained experience in a chemical/chemical manufacturing environment.
