Our client is looking for an experienced Connections Manager to work within the Utilities Industry.
You must have had previous experience within the Utilities Industry in a managerial capacity and also dealing with cross utilities ideally.
Role Description
• Reporting to the Managing Director and team leaders, you will be required to manage the projects given to you to completion.
• Project management of new connections for gas, electric, water, telecoms; meter installs; alterations and load upgrades.
• Project management of Disconnections and reinstatements of all utilities.
• Obtaining quotes from independent contractors – encouraging competition in connection, and making formal application to the appropriate DNO.
• Challenging quotes and technical designs - where appropriate
• Arranging procurement of supply contracts and metering quotations.
• Liaising with contractors, the DNO and supplier to ensure energization on time
• Occasional site visits involved & basic auditing of existing supplies and any new supplies required.
