Our client are a specialist supplier of engineering parts with a global customer base spread across multiple industries. Due to continued growth they now require an internal Sales Engineer to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities will include:
*Ensuring that professional standards of appearance, manner, discipline and work are maintained within the office. *Taking incoming calls from prospective and existing customers ensuring you provide excellent customer service at all times. *Providing technical advice, information and support to customers as and when required. *Effectively dealing with and resolve any customer and supplier complaints. Preparing quotations for prospective customers *Following up on any customer enquiries, complaints, quotations etc where appropriate. *Arranging for the correct literature and technical information to be sent out if requested. *Ensuring any orders received are entered in to the system correctly and promptly. *Raising and Issuing purchase orders on Quick books *Raising and Issuing delivery notes / invoices on Quick books *Reporting on sales performance on a monthly basis using data from the spreadsheet *Reporting on new account activity on a monthly basis using data from the spreadsheet. *Generating reports in relation to outstanding quotes from Quick books on a monthly basis. *Generating and Inputting data on to spreadsheet format on an occasional basis as and when required *Checking stock levels on certain stocked products to ensure that agreed stock levels are maintained. *Attending quality assurance audits on a regular basis *Keeping up to date with developments within the industry and all new products *Attending to accounts / administrative work, booking in stock when required - this would be on an occasional basis to cover absence / holidays or an increase in workload. *Communicating on a regular basis with the Managing Director - keeping him promptly and fully informed on all matters pertaining to the performance their duties.
Whilst the above is a broad overview of the role and responsibilities it is by no means definitive. The Sales Engineer will be expected to carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the business. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm (though some flexibility will be required according to business needs).
The Successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in a sales environment (ideally within an engineering environment). Candidates with an engineering background will be treated favourably and strong product and/or industry knowledge is also advantageous. Applicants must be highly articulate with a clear telephone manner and excellent verbal communication skills. It is likely that the successful candidate will have a good academic background with at least 5 GCSE's (Grades A-C) including Maths and English. In addition to possessing a good level of written and numeracy skills the post holder will be expected to demonstrate excellent IT skills (a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Quick Books or a similar computerised accounts package) is also essential. You will be highly self motivated, with the ability to multitask whilst working to strict deadlines.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a basic salary of between £15,000 - £20,000 (negotiable dependant on experience and qualifications), plus benefits with plenty of scope for progression in the future.

We are currently looking for Software and Systems/Electronics Engineers to join their growing team at their offices near Droitwich, (but may involve periods on client sites). We are looking for an engineer with significant experience in both software & electronics design & development, preferably from an automated test system design, build and integration environment. The majority of their projects apply a combination of software working with instrumentation and electronics, so a good grounding in design and integration in all these areas is essential for this role. Expertise in the National Instruments TestStand and CVI development environments is essential, as is practical knowledge of appropriate electronic design tools (e.g. OrCAD schematic design software and/or AutoCAD electrical). Candidates should have: *At least 2 yrs experience in software development within the National Instruments TestStand & CVI development environments. *Experience in appropriate electronic design tools (e.g. OrCAD schematic design software and/or AutoCAD electrical). *Strong experience in an electronics/electrical test system development & integration environment. *Excellent working knowledge of Digital & Analogue engineering principles *Experience in the Aerospace, Automotive and/or Rail industries, including an understanding of vehicle/engine control electronics, electrical and power systems. *An understanding of instrument control and data acquisition technologies. *Ability to interpret customer test specs & evaluate customer products *Ability to employ engineering techniques to produce robust, innovative solutions *Knowledge of NI LabView would also be of benefit. *Familiarity with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Systems. *Ability to work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. *A proactive approach to identifying and progressing design, development and integration tasks, and to early pinpointing and resolution of issues. *An ability to work on multiple jobs concurrently. Our client, a leading Multi-Site Food Processor, is looking for an experienced Production Planner to join the team at their West Yorkshire based site. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the post-holder will be responsible for delivering effective production plans. As the sole Production planner on site the successful candidate will take responsibility for planning an efficient and effective production operation that delivers on high company, and customer, expectations. They will have a "hands-on" approach and be able to demonstrate ability to produce 3D solid models using a 3D package (though candidates with 2 or more years experience of using SolidWorks 3D will be treated favourably). They will also have experience in producing 2D drawings to BS8888 from a 3D package. Further required skills: *Good understanding of mechanical, electromechanical systems. *Understanding of appropriate materials selection (& experience a wide range of materials). *Good communication skills, written and oral. *Keen to work as an integral part of a small multidisciplinary team. *Clean driving licence and prepared to travel to customer sites (with the potential for occasional work on customer site outside of normal working hours). *Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to work on multiple jobs concurrently. *Proactive and capable of meeting deadlines and achieving timely project delivery. *Flexible and keen to learn new skills. *Microsoft Office (to include Microsoft Project) conversant. Desirable Skills: *Experience in the field of designing special purpose machines for automation and assembly. *Good Knowledge of mechanical design including hydraulics, pneumatics, servos and actuators, stepper motors and conventional motors. *Electrical and / or electronic development experience In return for meeting the above criteria the successful candidate will be rewarded with a package that includes a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependant on experience).
