Due to continued expansion, my family owned, large, stable and very well established cient that supply to a national network of clients to include Blue Chip and well recognised household brands with FMCG products, is now seeking o recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer Technician to work in a team atmosphere, with strong skills in electrical maintenance, fault finding and repair experience to join their busy production team.
The main duties of the role are to:
Ensure the equipment is set up ready for use and running correctly Operate during the shift Ensure lines are show down correctly. Reduce downtime Report all activities including breakdown repairs Be proactive on ways to improve processes and machinery Undertake preventative maintenance Ensure machinery is in good working order Understand health and safety and food hygiene regulations. Maintain and routinely service facilities including lights, toilets etc.
The Company operates a shift system of 4days on/off and that includes days, evenings, lates and weekends. They offer discounts on products and services as well as 20 days annual leave entitlement.
You must have experience and knowledge of:
Electrical Maintenance and fault finding through to repair Experience of 240v and 415v machinery Basic control systems experience, ideally with PLC's Have worked/currently work within the food packaging/processing industry At least level NVQ3 in a maintenance/mechanical/electrical engineering based qualification Self motivation, good organisation skills and a practical approach to problem solving.
