The main responsibilities of the role are to:
- Manage package investment projects - Develop packaging concepts and execute packaging projects to meet business objectives - Set up technical equipment specifications and supplier evaluation - Actively work on innovative packaging solutions - Design, evaluate and optimize existing packaging systems to improve cost and efficiency - Support packaging studies and implement new technologies - Improve and maintain packaging systems and specifications complying with quality, safety and legal standards To qualify for this role you should meet the following requirements:

SRG are pleased to be working exclusively with a multinational FMCG company who, through expansion, require two Project Engineers to join their international capital projects team on a permanent basis.
The company has a truly global footprint and is constantly upgrading and expanding their sites as well as looking into new areas to develop and build. This team design and manage projects valuing £1M and above, and Projects range from changing equipment set up to building a new £50M+ factory from scratch.
The role will be based in the South East, North of London but with frequent travel to other sites around the world so would suit someone who enjoys travel across the EMEA regions and potentially further afield.
The main focus of these roles will be to manage or work on projects signed off by the Capital Projects Director. You will be involved in the full life cycle of the project, from concept stage, research and feasibility studies to final commissioning, handover and snagging. You will be working with highly experienced and talented individuals, many of which with over 30 years experience working for the company.
The two roles are similar but the distinguishable skills required are Civil/ Building Services background, and Chemical / Industrial Process background. You should have demonstrable experience in one of these areas coupled with experience in multi-disciplinary projects.
The key attributes will be:
·To provide multidisciplinary engineering support for major capital projects, and processes / services upgrades within manufacturing plants worldwide ·For larger projects work as directed as the Project Manager, provide project engineering requirements needed by the project team and associated stakeholders ·For smaller projects to act as Project Manager, taking responsibility for the entire project from concept to completion not restricted to your discipline (chemical or civil), managing the budget and timescales. ·Regular reporting on the progress and financial status of projects
The successful candidate is likely to possess most of the following:
·Minimum HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline (chemical, building services, mechanical, civil) ·Project engineering experience in a high speed manufacturing environment ·Experience controlling project deliverables, including the budget, timetable and specifications ·Experience working with external parties, contractors, consultants and suppliers, from specifications and tendering to completion stages ·Familiarity with CDM and Health and Safety regulations ·Experienced in using AutoCAD to produce P&IDs and building layouts ·Good presentation and organisational skills
