• To maintain accurate records to show compliance of the design with mandatory legislation, technical specifications and suppliers’ installation requirements.

• To accurately document and maintain product design through detailed drawings, schematics and bills of material.

• To lead or assist in the resolution of production, service, and quality problems.

• To lead or assist in the introduction of new technologies that maintains a competitive edge to the product range.

The Applicant:

• Minimum degree level in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline OR 8 years experience in vehicle design or development.

• 5 years experience in automotive/vehicle design or development, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

• Proven understanding of the use of CAE tools, specifically 2D and 3D

• Aptitude for analysing and solving design problems.

• Solid comprehension of mechanical reasoning, physics, metalworking and plastics.

• Computer literacy and experience in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word and Excel.

• Excellent verbal and written communications to internal and external customers, organizational skills, and problem solving.

• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
