The role wil be to support the company in all aspects of Quality activities, striving for continuous improvement of operational performance and customer satisfaction with respect to quality. Main duties include: • Detailed inspection of internally rejected components and products supplying statistical data and to facilitate the identification and implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement. • Day to day Supplier Quality Assurance activities and associated 8D investigations where non-conforming products are delivered. • To collate and provide quality performance data in support of Management Review and Continuous Improvement. • Day to day management and operation of the Customer Returns process and associated 8D investigations, then by using a team approach, identifying root cause and permanent preventative actions. • Detailed inspection and analysis of returned parts to highlight specific problems, trends, methods of improvement, preventative actions etc. • The control and retention management of all Manufacturing Documents Requirements: • Knowledge of quality tools and techniques, e.g. Discipline investigations, 5 Why, 7 Step, Ishikawa diagrams, SPC, FMEA, Pareto Analysis, parts and process capability studies. • Ability to work in a team-orientated way towards problem resolution and continuous improvement. • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings. • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship with the relevant qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree) or a recognised Engineering Degree and subsequent experience. • Formal training and qualification in Six Sigma techniques would be an advantage.
