Our client is a specialist in the manufacture of custom designed axial, centrifugal and mixed flow fans. They are looking for a technician who ideally has worked in the Refrigeration, HVAC or fans markets to undertake the assembly and test of engineering hardware products.

The role will be to ensure the products are tested to the required quality standards, whilst maintaining scheduled customer delivery dates, by applying a wide range of technical concepts, principals, practices and techniques, allied to, but not exclusively vapour cycle systems, electro-mechanical, electronic, airflow measurement. This will involve testing items from production, for function and performance in accordance with specifications, and may include fault finding to component level using circuit diagrams, conducting visual inspections and business system information.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
·Provide test technician support to operations through assembly and test of engineering hardware or products.
·Developing test processes for new products and refinement of test processes for existing products.

·Maintain detailed records of testing, assembly and analysis of tasks as designated.
·Assist in implementation of process improvement measures and
activities that will improve quality and Cost effective production, and enhance
customer satisfaction.
·Maintain acceptable standards professional conduct with respect to colleagues and customers.
·Maintain acceptable standards and practice in respect of health and safety at work.
·Maintain and advise workload status to direct supervision.
·Engage in new product implementations.
·Report equipment problems promptly, operate equipment correctly, comply with established maintenance and schedules and undertake daily maintenance tasks as appropriate.

Sign off of the third party processor for the acceptability of their process from a quality, delivery and cost perspective.

?To instigate and work in parallel with scheduling in defining the manufacturing scheduling approach and data set requirements on programme launch. i.e. Takt system, pull system, MRP release, day plan control, etc
?Upon definition, provide day plans for new and repeatable programmes to production in line with BAAN system plannings. The production team will use day plans for completing on time in full
?To provide backup to planning engineer for inputting and generating the necessary bills of material information into the (BaaN) MRP to drive the procurement of materials
?Signatory for Manufacturing and Process on engineering drawings to ensure drawings provide correct and understandable information and best methods of manufacture
