My client is currently looking for an Electronic Engineer to contribute to the construction, installation, and maintenance of their physical modelling instrumentation and control systems.
These systems accurately simulate wave and current loadings on scaled models of vessels and structures, and then precisely measure and acquire data to quantify the impact on the models. Their equipment is used in-house, and by institutions and laboratories around the world.
As an Electronic Engineer in the Instrumentation and Control team you will help to deliver small and large scale projects from inception to handover. This will require a strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics, together with a willingness to apply practical skills in fault finding, production wiring and equipment calibration. You will also need to develop and apply a firm knowledge of the EtherCAT technology that underpins the control systems.
You will have a degree in a relevant subject and must be proactive, well organised, with excellent time management skills and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a busy team. Experience in the use of engineering drawing tools would be an advantage.

An exciting 2nd line IT Support Engineer role is now available with one of the UKs largest staffing solutions providers.
Your role will be to provide support to the IT Service Desk, acting as the initial point of functional escalation for the Service Desk Agents, ensuring that all escalated incidents, requests and queries are successfully resolved within the agreed time frames and in a customer centric and cost effective manner. Suitable candidates will have previous experience of working in a 2nd Line support or Helpdesk environment and of working within a defined KPI structure.
