Key Accountabilities The Project Manager is responsible to the Divisional Director for the preparation of tenders, performance of contracts, risk management, profit and loss, project control and reporting, project delivery, programme, project quality and procurement activities in their entirety. The Project Manager's responsibilities are responsible for Supporting the Divisional Director in developing the business including, but not limited to, the identification of potential business opportunities and the preparation of Win Plans, Account Plans, Capture Plans, Storyboards, Stakeholder Maps and Competitor Analysis. Reviewing and managing all proposal documentation and developing proposal information (including, but not limited to, Bills Of Quantity, Letters, Activity Schedules, Programmes, Histograms, Organgrams, Risk Registers, Safety Documentation, Returnable Schedules, Costing Sheets, supplier/subcontract information and other documentation, as required) Reviewing the terms and conditions of the contract. Overseeing the proposal managers, engineers, proposal writers, coordinators and estimators to ensure that the work is carried out to the required standard within the given timescales. Ensuring that all activities are executed safely. Ensuring that personnel allocated to the tender/project are trained to carry out their nominated functions correctly and in a safe manor. Motivating and mentoring team members. Ensuring all necessary project procedures and documents are produced, issued and controlled, e.g. drawings, specifications, programmes, certification, etc. Preparing and maintaining the risk register. Maintaining control of all incoming, outgoing and internal correspondence and ensuring copies are distributed to all relevant personnel. Ensuring activities are organised and controlled in order to meet programme dates. Ensuring that any items procured, or sub-contracts placed, conform to the company and client requirements, and that all third parties carry out the necessary qualifications to execute their activities safely, and to the quality standard. Preparing and maintaining monthly costs reports which record the financial performance of the project. Managing the project interface with subcontractors and suppliers. Managing scope changes, variations, emergent work, delays and disruption with both the client and subcontractors. Performing all other activities as reasonably required by the Divisional Director.
Context The role is performed with constantly applied procedures in accordance with the company Project Management procedures. All projects within the company have an appointed Project Manager and all project accountabilities are consistently applied and measured.
The Project Manager is required to have professional and highly disciplined approach to manage the ream, the client and other contractors.
Other essential skills/experience and qualifications
Required: Track record of successful delivery of tenders and projects (Including financial performance), in the Nuclear and construction industries: Customer focused. Pro-active and flexible. Deadline driven. Appropriate engineering qualification/degree. 3 Years team leadership experience. Experience of sub-contractor management. Good problem, solving, negotiation and communication skills at all levels.
Desirable: Experience of working on British Energy/EDF Energy contracts supporting nuclear power stations in the UK NEC3 contract experience HIGH LEVEL SECURITY CLEARANCE Measures Successful tenders which secure the work scope. Projects delivered safely to quality, schedule and cost. Effective communications in place with all relevant stakeholders. Resources are managed effectively Health, Safety and Quality levels are maintained at all times.
