Ensure that all Staff Members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Care Centre and the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of the Service Users. Duties may include acting up for the Deputy Home Manager and/or Home Manager in their absence.

Report any ill health amongst Service Users and make requests for GP/Professional visits where necessary

Ensure that the Service Users Care Plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with Service Users, Relatives and other Health Care Professions, and in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy

Assess all aspects of Service Users’ care needs, and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required Assess social and health care needs of new Service Users and maintain ongoing assessment and review of all other Service Users

Cardea Resourcing are seeking 2 RGN’s Registered General Nurses for Night work in a nursing and residential home setting.

The home is a 36 bedded Care Home situated in the small town of Willington, close to all local amenities. It is within easy access of Durham City, Bishop Auckland, Darlington and Weardale and nestled within Willington Care Village.

The home provides both General Nursing and General Residential care and can also cater for the younger physically disabled, those who have learning disabilities and those requiring palliative care.

The home has a pleasant, friendly atmosphere with all private, en suite rooms. There are several lounges where residents can relax and spend time chatting with each other, watching television or taking part in a range of activities. There is also have an enclosed garden with a greenhouse and raised vegetable plots for any green fingered residents to enjoy.

The staff team includes qualified Nurses, Senior Care staff and Care Assistants, all of whom undertake extra training within their role.

Duties include:

Ensure the Care Centre is attractively presented, and odour free, at all times, in line with the Company’s attention to detail ph8ilosophy

Ensure a viewing room is suitably presented and available at all times unless Care Centre is fully occupied

Supervise and instruct junior and new Staff Members in all aspects of their work in the Care Centre giving help and guidance where appropriate

Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence.

Keep professionally updated in all areas of clinical expertise

Attend mandatory training days/course, on or off site as and when required

Report immediately to the Home Manager or Person in Charge any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Service Users, colleague, self or another

Understand, and ensure the implementation of the Care Centres Health & Safety policy and Emergency and Fire procedures

Report to the Home Manager, Handyperson or Person in Charge any faulty appliances, damaged furniture equipment or any potential hazard

Promote safe working practice in the Care Centre

Adhere to all appropriate NMC guidelines/regulations

Maintain all logbooks and records as required by both the Registering Authority and the Company

Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties

Assist in the arrangements for fund raising

Notify the Home Manager or Person in Charge as soon as possible of your inability to report for duty and also on your return to work from all periods of absence

Ensure the security of the Care Centre is maintained at all times

Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales

Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained

They are looking to recruit a Permanent RGN (Registered General Nurse) to cover night duty part time, which consists of 24 hours on a pay rate of £11.99.

The home is based in Washington and is a purpose built care home. They provide residential care, residential EMI, nursing and physical disabilities.

You must be a qualified nurse and hold a current NMC (Nurse Midwifery Council) pin number. Have experience in care of the elderly and also posses excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Deputy Manager, who is also a qualified RGN/RNLD, to work in one of their nursing homes in the Bishop Auckland area on a salary of £26,500. They are looking for someone who can support the head of the home in all aspects of the home’s management which will include taking temporary charge during their absence and for someone who can provide high quality nursing care which will include assisting in identifying and addressing the health and social care of service users.

Within this role some of your responsibilities and duties will be:
• To ensure that all staff members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the home and the creation of the right atmosphere.
• Assist service users with their personal care needs and help to provide health supervision and attention through direct nursing care when needed.
• Supervise and instruct junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the home
• Help with the formulation of social and health care plans for new service users and with service user reviews.
• Maintain effective communications with the Home Manager.
• Attend mandatory training courses, on or off site, as and when required.
• In conjunction with the Home Manager, endeavour to fill any job vacancy and interview for new staff members in line the Company’s Recruitment policy.
• In the absence of the Home Manager, organise workload by forward planning off duty to ensure that there is sufficient staff cover, and deal with problems where necessary.
