Our client has an industrial and storage facility in the Purfleet area. They require a Warehouse Inventory Assistant to start at the end of May 2012, on a temporary to permanent basis.
The role
The work will involve the following:
General warehouse duties, including the movement and recording of stock Logging incoming consignments of parts and part numbers on the computer stock management system / inventory Studying cables, analysing if the customer needs them Working on a full time (8.30am to 5pm) Mon-Fri basis, you must be capable of carrying out some light manual lifting work and accurately record information in the required format. Ideal candidate:
Warehouse experience. Physically capable of manual work/light lifting. Data input experience Good IT skills with experience of databases and/or Excel an advantage Excellent attention to detail & good analytical skills Willing to work on a full-time temporary to permanent basis Driver with own transport living within a short commute from Purfleet, Essex. Hourly Rate: £7.50 (equivalent Perm salary circa £15.5k per annum)
40 hours per week - Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5pm

The Role:
They require a Civil Engineer to assist in the management and engineering of a major and complex infrastructure project, providing assistance and support to a wide range of engineering managers.
Assistance in the supervision of civil, building works or services contracts; Coordinate works on site Ensure all works on site are carried out in a safe and environmentally acceptable manor Management of design works by consultants Contract administration of minor works; Reporting on contract (or elements of the contract) progress and advise on actions needed to keep the project to the agreed programme; To prepare and review documentation for regulatory approvals and contract issue; Advise and liaise with project stakeholders and consultants; Contribute to the continuous business improvement process and to the meeting of business objectives; To be an ambassador for the company at all times internally and externally; The ideal Candidate:
Experience/Qualifications required: Degree or higher degree in civil engineering/building related subject Minimum of 5 years post-graduate civil engineering work Working knowledge of AutoCAD Strong analytical and report writing skills in relation to numerical and technical information/data Confident and competent presentation (design, preparation and delivery in MS Word/PowerPoint) and general communication skills. Willing and quick to learn new skills and knowledge Driver with full licence The Package:

Project Manager - Logistics Building/Distribution Centre Development

Our client is an international organisation employing around 30,000 staff globally. They have a current requirement for an experienced Project Manager based in Essex, reporting to the Civil Engineering Director, capable of delivering a large commercial development.
The Role:
Manage the Project Design and Construction Teams (Architects/ Engineers/Cost Consultants/Contractors) and liaise with the planning, building, environment, commercial, engineering and other team members ensuring delivery of all buildings to company and JV requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
Manage the tendering, procurement and subsequent construction delivery of buildings, ensuring that they are delivered to programme, budget and technical requirements; Lead and manage the design teams, and manage the legal and planning and other consultants within their areas of responsibility (appointing where necessary) Allocate and manage designated resources to achieve identified elements of the functional plan; Control expenditure to meet allocated budget;
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:
Degree level qualification in relevant subject and Professional membership desirable Project management experience is essential within a development/ property company or consultancy; Budget management experience; Proven Design Engineering input to client specifications and aspirations is essential Demonstrable experience of implementing plans in accordance with agreed targets and business and clients needs Strong persuasion and commercial negotiation skills Strong decision making acumen The Package:
