DescriptionRegister your CV An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a leading hospitality organisation close to Birmingham City Centre.
They are looking for a Meetings and Events Coordinator to join their team, whose main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the large conference and events facilities.

The key duties of the role will include:

•Handling all inbound enquiries in a polite and professional manner and dealing with all customer bookings and request in the most effective manner.
•Collating weekly function sheets;
•Administration duties, including client correspondence, menus, function bills, amendment and maintenance of the diary.
•Close liaison with other departments and relationship building with key clients.
•Assistance in setting up all functions and themed nights.
•To pass on relevant information accurately to other departments
•Show rounds and information tours, taking every opportunity to maximise sales
•Responsibility for ensuring that there is a supply of marketing information available;
•Constant promotion of other facilities
•To strictly observe all fire, safety and hygiene regulations;
•Assistance in organising all sales activity
•To take deposits in line with company procedures;
•Development of relationships with all suppliers
•Awareness of competitor’s
•Communication of sales leads which the organisation is unable to accommodate;
•Any other duties as required;

Previous hotel experience is absolutely necessary, and knowledge of Opera is also desirable.
