My client is looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to join their dynamic management team within a business at the forefront of their industry. Due to an internal movement within the business, this fantastic opportunity has become available and my client are looking to recruit a degree qualified engineer with a proven track record in mechanical engineering
Duties:
* You will report directly into the Director of Operations, and be responsible for briefing senior management on technical issues explaining the issue and advising on the severity of the problem.
* Managing a team of draughtsmen, project engineers, test engineers and production engineers.
* The authorisation of technical drawings within the business.
* Knowledge and understanding of mechanical products to provide engineering advice and solutions to issues.
* Budget management for the whole department
* Provide technical support for Quality and Procurement departments for new products non-conformance, concessions, customer complaints and manufactured products, change of suppliers for parts.
* Product modifications and improvements planning, promotion and organisation of training activities related to the technical engineering department.
* Regular reviews of technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
* Technical support for Sales Engineers and project design specifications.
Requirements
* Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering
* Leadership experience
* Intrinsic knowledge of engineering standards and CE marking
* A good understanding of how mechanical products are manufactured .i.e. forging, casting etc
Experience within a mechanical engineering environment
