Maintain good client relationships to help secure continuing business.

Knowledge and experience:

HND or Degree educated Engineer

Minimum of 3 years experience in the oil and gas or associated industries.
Computer literate in normal office software applications.

The Senior Test Engineer is required to perform various tasks that fall into several main categories.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Engineering department is responsible for all aspects of the design and development of products. This covers everything from conceptual design schemes through detailed design of complex mechanisms and systems and on to certification and qualification of the products for use on aircraft.
The Senior Test Engineer is a functional role that encompasses all test activities from test design and test development through to test completion. Responsible to the Chief Test Engineer the role will specifically involve:

*Interpretation of customer and industry test specifications (including RTCA-DO160,MIL)
*Proof-of-Concept & prototyping testing methods/strategies
*Defining and agreeing test strategies with both internal and external customers
*Generation of detailed test plan (e.g. timelines, equipment requirement & set up, programming, data capture) based on review of test specification, device test specs and customer requirements.
*Define measurement and control systems, develop automated data acquisition and test control systems
*Review & manage sub tier test suppliers & test equipment manufacturers
*Execute tests, analyze and interpret the results, to identify variance and possible defects
*Evaluate non-conformances to design acceptance criteria
*Interface with development teams to clarify issues and resolve appropriate fault management tools
*Failure reporting and corrective analysis system (FRACAS)
*Test hardware specifications for sub tier test suppliers and test equipment manufacturers
*Required to lead multi-disciplined engineering teams & drive projects through to completion

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
*Min 5 years experience and/or 3 full product life-cycles in test engineering role (ideally in aerospace industry)
*Degree (2:1) in Electrical/Software Engineering or equivalent
*Hydro-mechanical & electro-mechanical engineering principles.
*Electrical and electronic design, hardware/software fault finding & testing.
*Commissioning (preferably within an aerospace environment) including hydraulic, electrical and mechanical components
*NI equipment & LabView programming, & DSP
*FPGA & circuit design, PLC programming a bonus
