We are looking for time served welders for an on going contract in the Consett area. Contract is expected to last at least 12 months, with a view to become permanent for the right candidates.
You MUST have experience working with MIG bare wire. Experience working with flux core would also be an advantage.
Ideal applicants will have previousy worked in a heavy engineering workshop.

A successful and progressive engineering group, seek to recruit a hands on Technical Buyer for their expanding, design and manufacturing company supplying a range of products to some of the world?s leading companies.
Role: To carry out the day to day purchasing of raw materials and components to support the production schedule. To enhance the development of the supply line, to ensure continuity of products from both UK, and overseas supply base. To negotiate cost effective pricing for all of our material and component requirements. To liaise with other departments and to ensure continuity of supply, in line with our customer?s requirements. An ability to carry out cost estimates for fabrications would be an asset.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is essential

Experience:
* 5 years plus purchasing experience
* An engineering background is essential, preferably in the medium to heavy fabrication sector
* Computer literate ? MS Excel, Word, e-mailing & internet
* Problem solving
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, plus a non-contributory pension and 25 days holiday per annum. You will be based at one of our sites in either Consett or Sunderland and may be required to work from either site, on occasions.
