They’re currently seeking an Occupational Health Advisor to work in our busy team ensuring a quality customer focused clinical service to clients.
You will be responsible for management referrals with some input into screenings and vaccinations when required in support of the OH practice nurses and technicians.
Predominantly you will work at the health centre with the opportunity to work on corporate client sites.

Key Responsibilities
• Case management of management referrals from a wide variety of clients across a number of sectors including hospital workers, corporate clients, voluntary organisations and railway clients.

• Assessing by means of standardised health and lifestyle questionnaire systems and specific clinical measurements the medical fitness of new entrants and in-service clients using Healthcare Service Delivery services and exercising clinical judgement in relation to standards and other aspects of fitness to work

• Providing practical advice and assistance to customers on all aspects of Occupational Health, taking the needs of the customer and employee into account, carrying out Clinical and Risk assessments as well as providing psychological and psychosocial interventions
• Accurately recording and interpreting data ensuring that it meets best practice standards to support clients’ decision making and producing clear and concise reports in a timely manner

• Planning and delivering health promotion and health education to clients addressing key lifestyle issues i.e. stress, smoking, weight etc

Specific Skills

• Post registration OH qualification and entry onto Part 3 of the NMC register is ideal however, applicants who are Part 1 registered with an OH qualification or demonstrable OH experience may also be considered
