We are currently recruiting for a Buying Assistant to join the team based at our Hub in Christchurch, Dorset.
Reporting to the Senior Buyer your main responsibilities will be to support, assist and co-ordinate activities within the trading team. Create and maintain item card data and collections within Navision (the database system). Maintain cost price query spreadsheets and liaise with purchase ledger to resolve issues whilst working closely with the relevant Buyer. Resolve store and supplier issues and communicate accordingly. Offer highest levels of customer service to Head Office and Store colleagues. Carry out ad hoc and agreed tasks.
Key Skills required:
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Candidate must be diligent, work well under pressure with self organising skills.
• Exemplary communication skills.
• Navision experience preferable but not essential as training will be given

Due to current expansion we require a Merchandising Manager to join our team at our Head Office in Christchurch, Dorset.
We are looking for new team members who have a flair for managing analytical activity to help drive positive decisions when building planograms, have an innovative approach to merchandising and product display techniques to enhance sales and profitability and also support the delivery of our customer focused category plans to optimise space and product range.
By analysing data from our sales records, store formats, market dynamics and trends you’ll build and manage planograms for the allocation of space within dedicated fixtures and varied merchandising solutions.
You will also calculate and maintain information on performance of our merchandising plans, and develop processes which ensure accurate records of total available space by store; fixture type and format are developed and maintained.
You must have a proven background as a Merchandiser within retail and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for manipulating data via computer systems and have experience of utilising Spaceman (or similar).
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools with an advanced knowledge of Excel is essential as well as a proven ability to work cross functionally within the business across the key departments of retail, supply, marketing and buying.
