Our client a multinational software company with supported customers and ongoing implementations in Asia, Africa and South America has a requirement for a full time technical Author to produce User Guides, Reference Manuals and Training Guides either directly in French, Spanish and Portuguese or to be translated into these languages.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of the Software Industry and ideally will be fluent in French and / or Spanish. Portuguese would be a bonus however your knowledge and experience of RoboHelp is of prime importance.
The candidate will be responsible for translating and possibly creating and amending documentation in accordance with the supporting materials using the Adobe RoboHelp authoring tool. (Please note, if you do not have language skills we would still be interested to hear from you as this client may look at an Author with strong RoboHelp and then use a translator to translate the documents into the required language).
Responsibilities and duties:
• Understand and interpret the source documentation to produce easy to follow User documentation.
• Use the application software to which the document is associated.
• A self starter, able to verify the accuracy of produced works.
• Work closely with the stakeholders, providing regular updates of ongoing tasks.
• A strong team player with a disciplined approach to targets and deadlines.
Technical Skills & Experience
• Ideally have strong written and spoken French and Spanish.
• Experience of a technical environment, ideally in the software industry.
• Experience of the following applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe RoboHelp. Adobe Photoshop.
• Organised, logical and lateral thinker with ability to multitask.
• Proven ability to work with a minimum of supervision and ensure that the deliverables are available

Our client, an international supplier of parts and services to the engineering and manufacturing business sectors with a turnover in excess of £100m across 14 European countries, require Data Entry Team Leaders to work as part of a large team, on the development of brochures for release across Europe.
Candidates need to be able to use data carefully and methodically with good attention to detail and have the ablity to work with data in structured tables. Ideally you will come from a disciplined background - for example Finance, Accountancy, Engineering or IT (particularly programmers) and be degree qualified.
You will be using a product called STEP (a catalogue management system) to build publishing modules and experience of this product would be advantageous although training will be provided. Experience of other catalogue management systems similar to STEP, would also be helpful:

Our client delivers technical publications and engineering support, mainly to the Defence sector and they currently require an additional Technical Author to join their busy team of technical authors, technical illustrators and publication assistants. The work is diverse and interesting and most projects have short delivery timescales. • Develop relationships with key clients, maximising revenue and activity for the publications team
Ideally you will have suitable engineering qualifications together with experience of working with the MoD or MoD prime contractors. You will also ideally have some practical working knowledge of Adobe products (FrameMaker, Acrobat) as well as knowledge and experience of producing S1000D Data Modules and IPL Data.
