The Client This is an exciting job opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to work with a leading manufacturing company. The company are currently undertaking a large transformation programme and are keen to attract a strong Project Manager to manage a range of projects within the business. Job Role: The role of the Project Manager is to plan and deliver projects according to an agreed schedule, budget, scope and quality. Persons seeking this role will have strong planning and project management skills backed up by demonstrable experience in project delivery. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, project delivery methodologies, commitments and goals. The Project Manager will produce and seek agreement on project objectives and scope with the appropriate Business Executive /project sponsor and project steering group and will report regularly on project progress. The Project Manager and will be involved in the following activities: Based on identified and agreed business need outline and get agreement on the overall project approach. Produce and get appropriate agreement/sign-off on mandatory Project Management deliverables. Develop and maintain the project schedule and plans (e.g. configuration management, risk management, communications plans, quality management etc.) applying formal Project Change processes as required. Co-ordinate the input and engagement with other functions such as HR and Finance. Ensure that all project objectives/requirements/integrations are captured and agreed and take responsibility for ensuring their delivery. Develop project effort and cost estimates and clearly document scope and related assumptions for agreement. Project resource management including; Define project team requirements and secure the resources to meet these requirements. Define individual team member roles, set clear expectations and ensure timely feedback. Ensure that project team members receive any necessary training required. Secure external contractors/consultants as required and agreed with project sponsors Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations and with suppliers and subcontractors. Be accountable for external resource/support adherence to agreed contracts. Identify and manage Project change through the defined change process ensuring that all changes are documented and agreed. Regularly measure and monitor project progress and report on same to the agreed project governance structures. Define, seek agreement on and manage the Projects Risks, Issues Assumptions and Dependencies. Manage project communications to all project stakeholders ensuring that senior stakeholders are informed of project status and of any of communications required from them. Ensure that the project aligns with, and co-ordinate execution of, other corporate processes/methods (e.g. ICT Development, Business Change methods, Quality processes, etc.). Put in place the mechanisms to track the project’s business benefits.
Experience and skill set requirements: The ideal candidate should have: Direct experience of successful delivery as a Project Manager (7+years). Managed a number of medium to large project teams. Experience of project estimating from conception to post deployment. Experience of repeatedly applying a structured methodology to project delivery. Experience of deploying/championing new/changed methodology across all project stakeholders (from business sponsor to team members). Experience of working with and supporting PMO’s. Managed dispersed/virtual teams. Managed and aligned external vendor delivery. Managed diverse project stakeholders.
Desirable experience • Experience of offshore/near shore delivery • Project management certified. • MS SharePoint skills. • MS Project/MS Project Server or other project management software skills. Ability to understand the technical details involved in food formulation. Knowledge, history and a proven track record of working in sports nutrition, health and wellness. Strong levels of creativity to drive customer innovation and new solution ideas are required. Possess an analytical approach and be capable of detailed cost analyses & business planning. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams. Knowledge of the Eastern European market would be an advantage. Must be willing to travel approximately 30-50%.
