Our client who is a leader in maritime infrastructure and logistics is currently looking to recruit a Civil Engineer on a permanent basis. They are currently undertaking the design and construction of a major new deep sea container port in Essex worth £1.5 billion providing one of Europe’s largest logistics parks.
Your role if successful will be to:
• Assist in the supervision of civil, building works or services contracts
• Coordinate works on site
• Ensure all works on site are carried out in a safe and environmentally acceptable manor
• Management of design works by consultants
• Contract administration of minor works;
• Reporting on contract (or elements of the contract) progress and advise on actions needed to keep the project to the agreed programme;
• To prepare and review documentation for regulatory approvals and contract issue;
• Advise and liaise with project stakeholders and consultants;
• Contribute to the continuous business improvement process and to the meeting of business objectives;
All applicants will need:
• A degree qualification
• Strong Analytical skills and confident in handling numerical data and information
• Good report writing skills
• To be confident communicators
• Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft packages
The role will be based on site near to Thurrock in Essex. On offer is a salary of between £25,000 to £35,000 depending on experience. This role is currently vacant so please apply today.

A leading firm of consulting engineers based in Central London is currently looking to employ a Structural Engineer on a permanent basis.
Our client has an excellent reputation in London and has been established for over 30 years. Projects in the office currently include commercial developments, residential developments, high end private residential structures and various retail projects. Projects are typically from £1-2 million up to £100 million.
The successful applicant will need to have previous industry experience as a Structural Engineer and be degree qualified. Ideally applicants will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience however high calibre applicants with less will still be looked at. Chartership or approaching Chartership is preferred.
You role will be to undertake structural designs, lead more junior members of the team, attend client meetings where necessary and generally act as the right hand person to the Regional Director.
