Projects have included elements such as the supply and erection of structural steel, the fixing of precast concrete floor slabs and stairs as well as metal deck flooring systems.

- will be degree qualified or equivalent
- will be sufficient in CAD design software

We are looking to hire a finance manager to work for the regional office of a large civil engineering contractor. They specialise in running large regional frameworks maintaining Utilities, Highways and Government assets.
They are looking for a Finance Manager to join their Exeter office. You will be working within Contract Management Team and your duties will include:
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
The provision of timely management information to support decision making and drive contract efficiencies
Compliance with Accounting Standards and company accounting policies
Liaising closely with the clients Financial Controller and the businesses Finance Team.
Preparation of monthly profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow for the contract
Development of contract budgets and forecasts
Liaison with parents on inter-company balances and invoicing
Monthly presentation of contract results to the Management Board
Overall responsibility for the timely compilation of the monthly invoice and back up information from the financial systems
Work with contract commercial and operational management to drive contract performance improvement
Maintenance of accounting system via journal entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliation's
Development and implementation of financial systems to support the requirements of the business
Maintenance of a rigorous control environment through the development, implementation and monitoring of financial processes and procedures
We are looking for candidates ideally with experience in either the Construction, Highways Maintenance or Utilities Industries
Experience as follows:
Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Computerised Accounting Systems
Excellent Communicator both verbal and written and a strong contributor in meetings
Exercises sound judgment and adds value through Challenge where appropriate
Has strong personal drive and commitment to delivery of results
Demonstrates strong, analytical, creative and proactive thinking
