QA Supervisor sought by highly successful £28m turnover food industry client; the QA Supervisor and his / her team of 2 QA Technologists will ensure that the Quality requirements of both the BRC accreditation and customers are met. The main duties of the QA Supervisor will include:

Ÿ Ensuring that all tasks are carried out safely and in a safe working environment.

Ÿ Working with the other departments to ensure continual improvements.
Ÿ Attending training courses as required.
Ÿ Deputising for and assisting the Technical Manager, to whom you report.
Ÿ Participating in customer and third party audits as required.
We require the QA Supervisor to have relevant QA experience and proven leadership skills. It would be useful if your QA experience has been gained in the food industry but this is not essential. You will need to have excellent organising and communication skills and demonstrate close attention to detail at all times. Both motivated and motivating, you will be a natural multi-tasker and a real team player with a strong customer focus.

The Production Manager will set up visual operating procedures to show accurate data on Production Line performance and organize daily performance reporting, identifying and resolving any problem areas.
The Production Manager will also control and schedule materials into, around and leaving the Production Line and ensure that the Line operates within financial budget. You will ensure that team members are trained in 5s standards applicable to the Line and in the scope of use of TQ tools and techniques, and you will set demanding but achievable targets for continuous improvement activity. You will use QVC tools and techniques to drive up productivity and drive down manufacturing costs.
The Production Manager will ensure that all work leaving the Line is 100% compliant with Quality Standards and ensure the highest standards in housekeeping.

The Strategic Buyer should have several years experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain Management in an Original Equipment Manufacturer or in a Tier 1 supplier manufacturing environment and have at least 1 year of strategic purchasing experience. A formal Business or Engineering Qualification is desirable as is CIPS certification (or currently studying for). Training and knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma tools would also be advantageous.
The Strategic Buyer role is seen as a key, "prime moving" role in the Purchasing team and as such we need the candidate to be highly competent, enthusiastic and committed. You will need good commercial acumen and be an exponent of Continuous Improvement. Excellent communication skills essential.
