DescriptionRegister your CV QA Manager sought by highly successful £28m turnover food industry client; the QA Manager and his / her team of 2 QA Technologists will ensure that the Quality requirements of both the BRC accreditation and customers are met. It will be your responsibility to maintain the standards for product safety, legality, traceability, quality, hygiene and housekeeping requirements, and to identify opportunities for improvements in QA through continued technical understanding to ensure that the team delivers ‘cost versus value’ equation.

The main duties of the QA Manager will include:

- Providing a strong quality assurance presence in the factory.
- Leading, supervising, motivating, training, reviewing and developing the 2 QA Technologists.
- Ensuring the site PRP and QMS are maintained at all times.
- Monitoring, investigating and responding to customer complaints to determine the root cause and preventative measures. This will involve liaising with suppliers and customers.
- Ensuring that customer and legal requirements are maintained at all times.
- Monitoring the standards of hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, traceability, allergen management, legality and quality.
- Carrying out internal audits to the agreed schedule.
- Carrying out investigations of process/quality failures and customer complaints to identify timely and effective corrective/preventative action/root cause.
- Ensuring that all tasks are carried out safely and in a safe working environment.
- Ensuring internal and external customer requirements are achieved and continually improved.
- Working with the other departments to ensure continual improvements.
- Attending training courses as required.
- Deputising for and assisting the Technical Manager, to whom you report.
- Participating in customer and third party audits as required.

We require the QA Manager to have relevant QA experience and proven leadership skills. It is very highly desirable that your QA experience has been gained in the food industry and preference will be given to applicants from the food industry with knowledge of BRC accreditation. You will need to have excellent organising and communication skills and demonstrate close attention to detail at all times. Both motivated and motivating, you will be a natural multi-tasker and a real team player with a strong customer focus.

DescriptionRegister your CV Manufacturing Project Manager sought by large manufacturing business currently in midst of major new product introduction programme.

The Manufacturing Project Manager will handle the management and introduction of new projects from advanced development, through the design phases, samples production, validation and ramp up and start of production. You will act as the bridge between the Design and manufacturing teams.

By effective co-ordination of various Project teams, the Manufacturing Project Manager will ensure that critical milestones are achieved from sample production through to completion of APQP activity and into full manufacture, whilst meeting all volume, cost, quality and delivery targets.

The Manufacturing Project Manager will need exceptional communication skills to liaise with, influence and motivate various internal project teams and external suppliers and there will also be regular customer contact.
HNC/HND/Degree Qualified in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, you should have extensive Project Planning/Management experience in a manufacturing environment, and ideally first hand experience of the Project Management of new product introduction programmes. Familiarity with 5P, Resource Planning and APQP desirable.

DescriptionRegister your CV We seek a Design Engineer capable of delivering the best ideas to drive product development to improve current and future products for UK and International Markets. The products are niche, special purpose off road vehicles and equipment for the agricultural / horticultural sectors.
The Design Engineer will be mechanically/electro mechanically / hydro-mechanically orientated and will monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of a program, project or function, including the development of short and long-range goals, objectives and budgets, coordinating activities with other departments and ensuring that procedures are followed and assisting in resolving complex problems which require professional level input.
The Design Engineer will co-ordinate technical staff on a day-to-day or project basis, including reviewing workloads, schedules, specifications, estimates and calculations whilst delivering technical advice on corrective action. Raising the team capability through the development and delivery of best practice, process, communication, project management and training.
Applicants for the post of Design Engineer must be able to operate in a high pressure environment to generate 3D models illustrating concept methodology and visualisation, rapidly leading to manufacture of production parts.
The Design Engineer must be a competent user of MS Windows, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as 3D solid modelling software (CAD), preferably Uni-Graphics NX.

Interpretation of FEA results preferably in ANSYS is also required.

Applicants will ideally have a knowledge of mobile machinery systems e.g. engines, hydraulics, electrics, and electronics.

Project design or supervisory experience gained within a manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
