2. To manage the Duty Principal System, respond to serious incidents and work with students who are facing disciplinary action/exclusion because of their behaviour
3. To work with curriculum staff to ensure that young/people identified as at risk because of their behaviour are referred to, and supported in taking up, services and activities that will help them engage positively in college life and succeed on programme.
4. To develop active partnerships with college staff and external agencies – Connexions Service, schools, local borough, police and youth offending teams - to deliver activities and programmes which promote inclusion and positive behaviour and actively address anti-social behaviour e.g. Peer Mediation, Restorative Approaches, conflict resolution and anger management
5. To liaise with curriculum staff to track young people during and after their involvement in behaviour support/improvement activities
6. To ensure that accurate and relevant records, case notes and reports are maintained and produced as required – including the weekly incident report
7. To develop a monitoring and evaluation system for the behaviour improvement strategy which includes input from staff and students and develop future models of practice based on lessons learnt
8. To develop and implement Risk Assessment procedures for staff and students in relation to behaviour
