Reporting to a consultant team manager you will be responsible for writing or modifying crystal reports for clients and also occasional internal projects against SQL Server databases ensuring that consistent methodology and best practice is being followed.

Have worked for a software supplier and been in a client-facing role writing reports and SQL views for at least 2 years Be able to demonstrate complete fluency in writing crystal reports using ODBC or OLEDB connections Be able to demonstrate complete fluency in the use of SQL to manipulate data in a SQL server database Have a sufficient level of technical ability and knowledge to be able to understand the entire proposed software solution and translate a part of this into a report which meets a business requirement Have a track-record of being able to deliver reports accurately and being experienced in proving the results to the underlying application and data Be comfortable working on multiple projects and multiple reports at any one time Be able to work with the wider consultancy team of Application consultants and Project Managers Have the ability to drive the report through to completion, taking ownership of the objectives and seeing issues through to resolution Have a good understanding of basic accounting and business processes Be commercially aware Optionally it will be useful if:
Have been in a client-facing role writing SQL Stored procedures Knowledge of Accounting, MRP and PSA software would be very beneficial The role will include frequent national travel that may include overnight stays. There may be very occasional international travel.

Providing front line application support of a leading business software solution to the customer base. Developing an extensive working knowledge of the in house product its components and underlying database structure.
