PART TIME - TEMP TO PERM
£19,000 - £22,000 PRO RATA
Our client is a well established provider of fire alarm and emergency lighting services with an excellent reputation within the market place.
They are looking to recruit an additional Engineer to their team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the competent maintenance of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, hose reels, fire extinguishers and smoke vents - all to the relevant British Standard.
In addition, the engineer is required to competently install fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, hose reels and fire extinguishers again to British Standards.
Other responsibilities include routine maintenance activities, service report write ups, stock taking and stock ordering.
You should be qualified to 16th of 17th Edition IEE Regulations, have an existing understanding of specialised fire safety systems and have completed FIA or equivalent training courses or be a City & Guilds qualified Electrician willing to train.

Ideally you will have a solid background in recruitment and you would have been exposed to B2B sales and business development. The role will involve delivering a full and general recruitment service on a day-to-day basis. In doing so, you will ensure that all commitments are delivered accurately and on time and that you are delivering a first class service to all clients and candidates. You will be responsible for growing existing business with regular clients as well as proactively looking for new business opportunities.
You would be a major part in building a leading and competitive branch in the area and will also be expected to speak to clients and candidates on the telephone and in person, discussing all aspects of the business while being on the lookout to recognise and seize opportunities to win new business and grow the branch.
Role Responsibilities:
• To achieve prospect activity targets, high quality standards and meet specific client requirements.
• Carry out a wide range of sales activities, including cold calling, telephone sales, prospect visits, mailshots.
• Prepare sales presentations for clients, promoting IRS Recruitment as the supplier of first choice.
• To expand the client base by actively sourcing new business, actively following up on sales calls and pursuing all sales opportunities.
• Build intelligence on client companies through reviewing candidates’ interview experience and advising future candidates on their interview strategies.
• Present candidates’ details to clients and make interview arrangements, ensuring the candidate is fully briefed on the interview arrangements.
