Job Title: Marketing Manager
Reports to: CEO

Job Purpose
We require an experienced Marketing Manager to develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet organisational objectives. The role requires effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities for the organisation.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
* manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
* conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
* analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
* develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
* manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects
* monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
* determine and manage the marketing budget
* deliver marketing activity within agreed budget
* develop pricing strategy
* liaison with media and advertising
* liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders, e.g. customers, colleagues, suppliers.
* communicating with and managing customer relationships;
* sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press (local, regional, national and specialist publications) or on the radio (depending on the campaign);
* managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters and DVDs;
* writing, editing and proof reading copy;
* liaising with designers and printers;
* organising photo shoots;
* arranging for the effective distribution of marketing materials;
* organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions;
* contributing to and developing marketing plans and strategies;
* managing budgets;
* evaluating marketing campaigns;
* monitoring competitor activity;

Education and Experience
* business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
* experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies
* technical marketing skills

* relevant product and industry knowledge
* experience with relevant software applications

We are looking for a hands-on operator who has field or large/multi site retail experience in which you have managed high staffing numbers. You will be responsible for overseeing up to 12 retail stores, providing support to the branch managers and retail staff of this very large & market leader power tools retail organisation.
You must be a strong commercial and people manager who has an entrepreneurial flair which is focused on income generation.
You will ensure your shops are fully compliant in line with health & safety regulations, trading standards and all other legal and statutory requirements. In delivering an approachable but professional leadership style, you will ensure your Area team are recruited, retained and developed to deliver excellent customer care and quality of service.
You?ll have a wide range of responsibilities. These are likely to include delivering growth, maximising sales and profitability, providing your team with a stimulating and supportive environment, maintaining and increasing standards of customer service and other areas across your shops, driving team performance and controlling training and development of your staff. You will have a large measure of autonomy, working alongside other senior managers and store and department managers.
Basic salary of approx £35.000k per annum plus bonus (approx £5.000k pa) Plus company car and fuel allowance.
Candidates must live within the Bristol/Swindon areas and hold a full UK driving licence. Working hours approx 45 hours per week from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

THE ROLE:
* Final Cut Pro X Suite and an understanding Brainstorms
* Produce high quality promotional material guided by an overall vision for creative, brand and function
* Prepare concepts and final assets according to promotional briefs for your Sales Team
* Work closely with the Production, Web and Customer service teams
* Execute and question revisions and change requests if they don't support the customer experience, brand or sales funnel
* Strong computer skills including word, excel MS Office

The Candidate:
The successful person will be a competent graphic designer, capable of working with graphic/illustration packages, design and implement a full range of material, produce on-screen presentations - be able to maintain and up-date our existing website and live TV graphics and promos.
You will be working as part of our production team to produce high quality graphics and promotions, the ability to work well under pressure is key as you will be part of a live television environment.
We require a candidate with keen attention to detail a confident manner and enthusiastic attitude. Knowledge and skills required: creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense and to present and explain ideas to colleagues and management
Must be a self-starter, have good customer care skills, work to deadlines and be able to work on own initiative.
Required Skills/Experiences
* Interest within new media, rich media, social networking and mobile or game products
* Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and the rest of the CS SUITE
* Understanding of graphic design principles, including page layout, colour theory and typography
