As a UPS Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing breakdown support, repair , planned maintenance (PPM) and fault finding and repair to component level on analogue and digital electrical and electronic power supplies (UPS) and power quality equipment. This will involve working on electrical systems, battery banks and UPS systems.
Key skills involved are:
- Experience in the maintenance, repair and commissioning of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) or similar - rectifiers, AC / DC inverter drives, SMPSU, power electronics etc.

Responsible to: Area Manager Service Team
Responsible for: Service & Repair of CHP [Combined Heat & Power] Units
Purpose of role
To carry out planned servicing and routine maintenance on a fleet of Combined Heat & Power CHP Units within an allocated area to maximise unit performance and output.
Key Responsibilities
1. To carryout unit servicing and maintenance as per service schedules to a high standard.
2. To ensure any failures are repaired efficiently and effectively to minimize performance impact & downtime.
3. To provide technical feedback to product development & manufacturing regarding failure causes & possible improvements.
4. To develop an excellent customer working relationship.
5. To achieve high standards of personal administration including reporting, time sheets and stock levels.
6. To ensure high levels of communication between Control Desk & Management Team.
7. To develop excellent repair skills through continuous product training and personal development.

Generator Engineer with service & maintenance experience is required, with a good split between mechanical and electrical ability.
Previous mechanical and electrical experience working generators is essential.
Responsibilities:
Undertake standard service activity including major & minor diesel servicing.
Carry out contract maintenance and inspection on a planned basis to recommended standards.
Fault finding and rectification in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
Participation in "Call Out" Rota for out of normal working hour’s response
Completion and submission of relevant reports to service administration within a timely manner following all site activity
