As an ICA Technician you will be required to complete preventative and reactive maintenance both planned and unplanned across various sites throughout London.

Suitable applicants will have:
- apprenticeship time served in Instrumentation and Controls and a minimum of three years hands on experience.
- background working in Control Systems and or Instrument maintenance both planned and unplanned.
- familiar with fault-finding, commissioning, calibration and or testing of instrumentation including flow, pressure, temperature and level devices.
- the ability to connect to a PLC and interrogate the code to identify the area of faults.

All of our ICA Technicians receive a van during working hours plus phone, laptop and full PPE.

A valid Full and clean drivers licence is essential.

These roles will be based in the South East and Greater London area at our various client sites.

We offer solutions for Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering and Instrumentation, and our diverse portfolio of activity means we are able to offer our customers the complete package by providing an in-house service for design, development, installation and maintenance.

We are currently seeking motivated individuals with relevant electrical and engineering experience to join our team as an Electrical Engineer.

Responsible for the planning, design, engineering, supervision and coordination of both capital and non-capital projects in support of the company manufacturing facilities.
Maintaining the scope, schedule and budget for all assigned projects, which will be electrical in nature, within the regional plants

Requirements:

Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
A minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
Experience with the design and installation of automated manufacturing machinery.
Good understanding of Production, Maintenance, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental and Administration practices and procedures.
Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Able to read electrical drawings and have an extensive knowledge of general electrical design standards and the IEC and CE code requirements.
Experience with 480v and 120v power distribution and circuit design.
Control panel and PLC cabinet design
SCR control.
Experience with 480 v Motor Control Centres (MCC’s) and individual starters.
Understanding of PLC-controlled automatic equipment is required, as it related to the design of automated equipment.
Basic understanding of PLC- controlled automatic equipment is required.
Basic CAD skills.
Excellent project organization and communication skills required.

Responsibilities:

Manage large electrically intensive projects, which may include managing large project teams made up of peers and contract engineers.
Responsible for ensuring timely implementation of projects.
Responsible for ensuring projects allocated are delivered to clients requirements meeting or exceeding the user requirement/project definition.
Ensure all documentation is maintained and dealt with per regional procedures.
Ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with company H&S standard and contractor regulations, as updated from time to time.
Responsible for the specification of various services and utilities, also that they are completed in sufficient time to enable contractors to complete/fulfil their obligations.
Ensure that all equipment is ordered, delivered and commissioned on time.
Responsible for ensuring all As Built information is completed within 30 days of project completion.
Adjudicate tenders/offers in free and fair, transparent fashion.
Conduct and direct studies to determine requirements of new/modified equipment, systems, and facilities both capital and non-capital.
Supervise and direct the design, installation, start up and debug of new/modified equipment and facilities.
Conduct project kick off and close out meetings to ensure scope is understood and project is completed to satisfaction of customers.Producing project plan/programme and ensuring that all works are completed on time and within budgets.
Develop project scope reports, equipment specifications, bid requests, schedule, cost estimates, and prepare CAPEX requests.
Control and accepting on behalf of all projects all completed works.
Ensuring sufficient spares are available for commissioning and for first 12 months operation.
Organising the necessary resources to complete the project scope on time.
Controlling resources (human and financial) such that the requirements of each project is met.

This position will be based within our client site at Royston for an initial period of 12 months following which the position will be extended at this location or located within an alternative appropriate location.
