The position holder will be responsible for developing SME and major accounts within a geographical or vertical market to ensure customer, Individual and company objectives are achieved. The G4S Security Systems Account Manager will be responsible for developing and converting a new business pipeline across the UK. The role will specifically focus on winning fire and security contracts across the company’s internal corporate estate. The role will have responsibility to network extensively across G4S businesses in the UK region, working collaboratively with the MD’s and senior management of these businesses to target the top 50 G4S customers and to target and win their fire and security contracts. Main responsibilities: • Engage executives in targeted prospect accounts • Orchestrate discussions with senior executives around their business needs focussing on technology • Invite clients to visit the Innovation Centre and work with our technical team to demonstrate state of the art fire and security technology • Build, manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects • Attend internal and external meetings with clients to qualify projects and opportunities • Close and manage on-going business • Provide written documentation (proposals) to support the recommendation and benefits of implementing new technology • Target existing G4S businesses to understand technology/systems requirements and realise opportunities across the G4S property portfolio • Target top 50 G4S regional customers (not currently using G4S for Technology solutions) • Facilitate Cross selling to existing G4S SSUK businesses The ideal candidate • Excellent written, presentational and interpersonal skills • Experience in a customer facing role, ideally with sales prospecting or business development experience at executive level • Ability to work under own initiative and with colleagues to achieve goals to deadline • Excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator with a confident, approachable and professional manner • Intellectual ability to understand business communications technologies and apply this knowledge in your sales calls • Full UK driving license preferred • Fluent in English • Knowledge/experience of the fire and electronic security systems industry whilst not essential, would be a distinct advantage

Reporting to the Director of G4S Gurkha Services, the Gurkha Services Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business relationships and generating new income of at least £3m/annualised for the business unit. The GS BDM’s key focus is winning sales across the following sectors: critical national infrastructure, Ministry of Defence and high end commercial opportunities. The BDM is expected to develop and maintain a 12-month pipeline of opportunity that should be in excess of £10m, and develop a pipeline of unqualified accounts that could yield opportunity over a 36-month period. The BDM will be required to anticipate, create and respond to opportunities, act as the ‘pseudo-customer’ and manage the bid process (with support from the Gurkha Services Director and Sales Director as well as the Corporate Development/bid teams) and lead the customer negotiations. Main responsibilities: • Achieving new business of £3m annualised. • Leading the bid process for all opportunities • Project manage proposals and tender responses • Upon completion of sales, liaise with the operational management team to ensure that service requirements are implemented and delivered. • Develop and deliver a sales strategy in line with business and SS (UK) strategic objectives. • Meet the SalesForce mandated levels of activity, conversion rates and any other individual targets. • Maintain a Gurkha Services Bid / Proposal Library. The ideal candidate: • Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent • Over 5 years sales experience preferred • Presentation skills to senior management audiences • Strong inter-personal and planning skills. • Proven team leadership and man-management skills. Main responsibilities: The focus of the Senior Bid Manager role is to lead the response process in tenders and engage with all parts of the business to ensure that professional, compliant, compelling and quality tenders are submitted.
