Regions Division

Your role will be to provide competent and enthusiastic support to the Southampton M&E team in managing the successful delivery of all the engineering activities and processes for various Lift modernisation and installation projects. This will require you:-
Principal Responsibilities
To prepare feasibility studies, and design contracts for lift modification, improvement, refurbishment or new lift projects, on behalf of clients, at an appropriate level
To manage the supervision for and on behalf of various clients, all lift services in client’s properties (i.e. hoists, platforms, stair-lifts, lifts and escalators)
To deliver the services within budget and in accordance with prescribed standards and timescales
To provide project leadership role to ensure that employees/contractors are retained, briefed, directed, developed, supported, informed and motivated in their work objectives to achieve the delivery of projects within fee and programme
To arrange for works to be carried out and supervise them in order to ensure compliance with specifications, monitoring the contractor's performance and undertaking such inspections as may be necessary
To take an active lead role in the identification and development of new business opportunities within the designated Lift department in both the Public and Private sectors
Key Responsibilities
To assist the team in preparing, developing and delivering service options and working arrangements, structures and management information systems required to succeed in a Best Value environment
To assist in promoting the services of the section and provide a positive open communication within the organisation to assist in the expansion and development of the section within the organisation
To co-ordinate building projects and maintenance within the terms of funding agreements/service specifications for Lift Services
To promote and enhance the Clients image and reputation, encouraging an ethos of responsive service to the communities, and loyalty to the Clients
To manage the provision of accurate and monthly information about work programmes, resources and performances of the section as required
To promote and enhance the companies and its clients’ image and reputation, encouraging an ethos of responsible service to the communities, and loyalty to the organisation
To assist in developing effective relationships with clients and staff throughout the organisation and its clients
To assist in promoting the services of the section and provide a positive open communication within the organisation to assist in the expansion and development of the section within the organisation
To participate in meetings and working groups as required and undertake any work necessary to implement corporate initiatives
To undertake other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required

Suitable experience within the Lift Industry with a Lift Installation background

Full Time Permanent Position 40 hours per week
Purpose of Role:
• To provide service and maintenance to client sites boilers, AC and associated equipment
• To ensure that all planned maintenance activity is completed on time
