An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Lines New Business Negotiator to join a leading company based in Cambridge who is currently thriving within the insurance market.

The successful candidate will be working as an effective member of a small but busy team placing new business for medium sized corporate clients with a typical premium spend between £2,500 and £100,000. The position will have involvement in all Commercial classes of General Insurance Business.

Our client is looking for exceptional candidates who ideally have a minimum of three years’ experience of working within a Commercial Insurance Broking environment. To be successful in this role it is essential that you possess outstanding negotiation and communication skills, together with the ability to work as an effective member of a team. Applicants are required to have a willingness to commit to training, CII exams and networking, and possibly working outside office hours.

The successful candidate will ideally have had experience working within a credit control position ideally within the insurance industry and a good understanding of accounting practices including debt recovery.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•To maximise profitability by pro-actively chasing outstanding debt to consistently improve upon the Company’s cash flow position.
•Promote the corporate image of the Company and the Company’s clients through the provision of the highest level of service quality at all times.
•Collect 70% of debt Quarter 1
•Minimise write offs in accordance with their policy
