Your job will be to:
*Responsible for the delivery of an effective and efficient income management service for all of Housing Landlord Services council tenants, mortgagors and leaseholders.
*This will include key procedures in relation to rent, income maximisation, recovery of arrears, debts and leasehold property expenditure and coordinating the provision of debt and benefit advice. *Recovery of rent arrears, signing up new tenants, liasing with tenants in person, by letter as well telephone and email.
*Actively contribute to the achievement of the wider Housing Landlord aims, operational objectives and future state.
*Prevent arrears through early contact of tenants to discuss the cause of arrears and make repayment agreements where immediate payment cannot be achieved.
*Work with other teams, services and agencies to ensure the customer receives necessary support and advice to sustain their tenancy

You must have the following experience:
*Minimum two years experience in a similar role
*Demonstrable experience of dealing with front line enquiries from members of the public.
*Demonstrable experience of administrative systems and processes.
*Experience of working within a housing management or financial environment.

*Ability to communicate effectively with elected representatives and demonstrate political awareness is desirable

You will need the following qualifications:
*Degree or equivalent qualification in environmental health, together with certificate of registration from EHORB

*Membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
