We're currently looking for a talented technical architect with a focus on Biztalk to join our team.
Key skills required:
A proven track record in designing and delivering complex n-tier, enterprise-scale Microsoft solutions.
Extensive experience in building architectures based on Microsoft technologies (C#, .Net, DNA)
Involvement across the full project lifecycle (to successful deployment).
Good experience with and knowledge of UML and design patterns.
Ability to gather business requirements and architect solutions based on those requirements.
First class design skills including the ability to draw up accurate specifications.
Good hands-on coding skills in C# and ASP.Net and SQL Server.
A delivery focused attitude with the ability to drive tasks forward and meet demanding deadlines.
Extremely capable of picking up new technologies quickly and a very proactive self educator.
Ability to deal successfully with staff at all levels within an organisation.
The ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of people both internally and externally to the organisation (as well as the ability to influence / negotiate).
Exceptional customer facing skills.
Strong written and presentation skills.
Although the role can be based in either Ipswich or London, flexibility will be required with regards to location and the ability to work on customer sites, UK wide is essential.

End to end project experience with strong consulting, influencing and presentation skills.
A broad technical background with depth in at least one architecture discipline.
Proven ability to deliver flexible, bespoke IT solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at senior levels.
A good knowledge of architecture frameworks and models (eg Zachman, TOGAF).
A good knowledge of integration technologies.
A working knowledge of technical architecture disciplines (application, data or infrastructure).

The successful candidate will either be working initially on client sites in Leeds or other locations in the area, gaining exposure to a number of high profile projects in many business sectors with varying roles and responsibilities. The key to this role is flexibility; flexibility to transfer skills from project to project, move across sectors embracing new challenges and developing new skills while working to tight deadlines.
Skills / Experience
Essential:
• A minimum of 5 years designing, developing and supporting enterprise Java / J2EE applications (mission critical systems)
• Proven ability to deliver production quality products within a structured project management environment (Prince2, Agile or similar)
• Experience of working on business critical Enterprise Application Integration projects
• Analysis and Design skills (i.e. tools such as OO, UML, Enterprise Architect, Rational XDE etc)
• Experience of Web Services and XML
• Good knowledge of Java / J2EE best practices and standard design patterns
• Excellent working knowledge of Oracle 9i, 10g and 11 Database
• Proven troubleshooting/investigation skills
Desirable:
• Unit Testing via JUnit or similar
• Test Driven Development
• Build control using ANT, Maven
• Continuous Integration using Hudson/ Jenkins or equivalent
• Previous experience of working in the telecommunications industry (highly desirable)
• Experience of using Subversion for source control
• Experience of using SOAPUI for scripted integration testing of SOA services
• Experience with Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Weblow)
• Solid experience of the Unix family of platforms
• Excellent working knowledge of Application server technology such as WebLogic Application Server, IBM Websphere Application Server, Apache Tomcat, Oracle Application Server, JBoss, etc
