Working on the BSF (Building Schools for the Future) project, the ICT Lead Engineer will have 4 ICT Implementation Engineers reporting to him and have overall responsibility for the deployment and commissioning of volume IT equipment.
Job Role:
You will be a motivated certified IT professional, who is able to solve problems effectively and who thrives under pressure.
You will have the responsibility, under instruction from the Lead Consultant, for the deployment and commissioning of volume IT equipment, such as PC's, printers, scanners, fax, etc.
Ensuring that all stations, printers and peripherals are deployed as per the Lead Consultant brief.
Responsible for the asset tagging / logging and handover of this equipment to the Lead Consultant.
You may be required to organize storage areas to allow for efficient access to all equipment to facilitate an effective desktop rollout.
Must be available to receive and deal with the logistics of deliveries when they arrive on site and provide leadership to the ICT Implementation Engineers.
You should provide first level diagnostics of issues encountered during volume rollout and ensure the Lead Consultant is appraised of any ongoing or resolved issues.
At times, under direction from the Lead Consultant, you may be involved in server end work.
Provide the following support services:
- 2nd and 3rd Support of the IT infrastructure - Troubleshooting of network issues - Installation of new switches (managed and non managed) - New/replacement server installation and domain creation - Deployment and build of new laptops, netbooks and desk tops (windows 7) - Decant, deployment and build of legacy laptops and desk tops.
Support of:
- Active Directory - DHCP - DNS - WDS - WSUS - Group Policy (including software deployment) - TCP/IP - IP Telephony
Relevant Experience:
- MS Active Directory - VMWare - HP Blade Servers - Microsoft Exchange 2010 - Windows server 2003 - Windows XP, Vista - Network peripherals, scanners etc
Preferred Qualifications:
- MCSE - Cisco CCNA - Windows Exchange Server - ITIL Qualification

iCobus Limited are recruiting x2 Data Engineers to work in Sheffield, starting on Tues 8th May 2012.
This project consists of high level cabling works. Working as part of a team of engineers you will require a CSCS card and IPAF or PASMA licence which are needed for the high level cabling.
Working hours on site will be:
Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30

- 3 years + experience working as a Data Engineer installing CAT 6 cabling - Installing, terminating and Fluke Testing CAT6 cabling - Full PPE (hard hat, high vis jacket, safety boots, goggles and gloves - All hand tools, terminaing tools. - CSCS card - IPAF licence or PASMA card
