Play a full and active role in the global business development meetings.
Requirements: Bachelor degree level (or corresponding experience) in a technical/engineering or sales/marketing discipline with aptitude for technical matters. Strong communication and presentation skills. Excellent time management and organization skills. Strong leadership and relationship building skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel as /when required within the EMEA region.

On a day-to-day basis you will be proactive in ensuring change is clearly defined & BOM creation and updates are maintained and accepted within the CEM, leading implementation of changes to drive cost reduction while increasing quality levels.
Upon completion of production engineering activities you will be responsible for auditing and maintaining all defined processes within each of the contract manufacturers both UK and Malaysia. This will feed supplier process controls to deliver world class quality and enable on-time customer deliveries.
This is a key role requiring a range of QA/QC, engineering / manufacturing / DFT & DFM techniques. Smooth migration to a new engineering software package PDXpert will also be a key responsibility.
The successful applicant ideally will possess the following key qualities and skills: Strong practical knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma techniques. Experience of working in a lean and process improvement environment. Ability to analyze but not get lost in the detail, and feed back to the engineering team continuous improvement suggestions. Able to lead and motivate, working closely to support project managers in their timely delivery of development, new product introduction and subsequently throughout manufacture and support phases. My clients in East Yorkshire are looking for Shift Managers & Supervisors - Glass Industry.
These roles are commutable from Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Hull, Goole, Bridlington.
My clients are one of the world’s largest manufacturers of float and fabricated glass products, supplying the automotive and building products industries.
The roles:
They are looking for Shift Managers who can lead from the front and develop their team. These roles are regarded as the bedrock of the Company and successful candidates will be given full responsibility for their own business unit and will have full autonomy within their area.
Shift Supervisors will report to a Shift Manager, lead a small team of people and be responsible for their ongoing development. You will be given the freedom to manage your people and allow them to really grow.
They work in a straightforward no-nonsense way that will give you the responsibility and freedom to make things happen quickly, making these challenging roles with real potential to grow within a rapidly expanding organisation.
The ideal candidates for these positions will be in possession of a relevant technical qualification with a good level of experience leading a team. Some Management development would also be an advantage.
You will be capable of managing a high volume production process and driving forward a Company culture that has health and safety at its core.
You must be results driven, always aiming to deliver what you set out to achieve but not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them.
People management skills are critical in these roles combined with the enthusiasm and initiative to achieve results.

My clients in Hants/Surrey/Berks are looking for Fibre Optic Sensor Development Engineers.
These roles are commutable from Basingstoke, Hook, Yateley, Camberley, Fleet, Farnborough, Aldershot, Farnham.
Job description The persons holding these positions will work within the engineering team to assist with design and testing of fibre optic sensing instruments, laboratory test facilities and data collection and analysis. Technical competency and the ability to find creative solutions to difficult problems are critical skills in this position. Applicants must be able to resolve technical problems while working within an interdisciplinary team.
The key responsibilities will be: Working as part of the optoelectronics engineering team on design and development of advanced fibre optic sensor systems. Design and execution of measurements of sensor system performance and evaluation of results. Hardware integration, adjustment and testing. Specific duties include: Design and layout both high speed analogue and digital electronic circuits, in collaboration with external consultants, if required. Breadboarding, test and debugging of circuits in the laboratory. CPLD and microcontroller programming and debugging. Prototype testing and liaison with production team to ensure timely handover to production. Quality control including writing of bill of materials, build and test instructions. Assist in project planning by providing specifications and time estimates for tasks. Matlab and Labview programming for real time sensor system testing and data analysis. Provide support to production, testing and repair work when required.
The ideal candidate will have: Experience with a range of optoelectronic components including semiconductor lasers, PIN photodiodes, optical amplifiers and high speed modulators. Both analogue and digital design skills including voltage regulators (linear and switching), high speed laser pulse circuits, temperature controllers, optical receivers, familiarity with Altera FPGA and Microchip PIC32 usage. Familiarity with common electronic communication protocols and device interfaces including RS-232, SPI and I2C. Familiarity with PCB design software for schematic capture and layout, preferably Orcad. Ability to quickly pick up new concepts and technologies. Ability to present results to the rest of the development team and management.
Travel to other locations internationally may be needed for short periods.
Person specification Qualifications: Ideally a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Some experience beyond graduate level in optical fibre sensing or other optoelectronics development.
Advantageous skills & experience include familiarity with common fibre-optic handling techniques and test equipment, and the ability to develop computer modelling methods for fibre optic systems.

My clients in Berkshire are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer - Optical Fibre Sensing.
This role is commutable from Slough, Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Egham, Farnborough, Camberley, Chertsey.
My client is is a growing technology Company in the field of optical fibre sensing. They specialise in the development and production of fibre optic sensors and related instrumentation. Applications for their products have been found in many markets including Civil Engineering, Oil & Gas, Wind Power, Marine and Aerospace.
The Role: The Instrumentation Engineer will work within the Instrumentation Team and in coordination with the Systems Team on the development of innovative optoelectronic instruments. His/her main duty will be the test of existing products and products in development. He/She will be involved on the tests protocol definitions, the execution and the analysis of the given tests.
Principal accountabilities: Development and evaluation of optoelectronic instrumentation. Designing, writing, testing and documenting software and procedures for internal development projects. Designing, selecting, and testing optoelectronics and electronics hardware for such projects. Designing, writing, testing, documenting and maintaining PC based interface SW for the company’s products. Application engineering support.
Required skills and attributes: Professional qualification (MSc or BSc) in Physics or Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience). Theoretical background and experience in the following fields: Optoelectronic devices and optical fibre engineering. Analogue and digital Electronics design. Signal processing. Experience and knowledge of most of the following: Design, execution, evaluation and reporting of tests or experiments. Laboratory test equipment. Labview Programming. Embedded systems engineering (Linux OS). PC based systems engineering. Fluent English speaker (a second language would be advantageous). Highly numerate, computer literate.
