I am recruiting on behalf of My client who is a Global leader in Engine design and manufacture. They are looking for an experienced Project Leader to join for a 12 Month Contract.
The position of "Programme Leader-Outsourcing" within the 5YS Team. You will be responsible of Strategic Project management in line with site & Global strategies. Liaise with the Global Purchasing and I.P.O for all project progression & reporting. Project Management at Site Level and ensure project integration with all internal customers for example purchasing, materials, engineering etc. You will be the focal point of the project team.
Global Travel will be required
You must have:
• Strong Project Management Skills
• Experience of Key Project Management against Tight Timelines
• Good Understanding of PPAP/Apqp
• A Good engineering background with an understanding of Quality and Process Change Tools.
This Is a 12month Contract
Rates: £34-£35 per hour 37.5hour week

The role
A large aerospace supplier is looking for a Lead Auditor / Senior Quality Engineer to join their organisation.
Reporting to the Group Quality Manager you’ll be responsible to the Group Quality Manager & shall be his appointed nominee in his absence. He/she shall be responsible for the realisation of the quality / processes to control the quality system on a daily basis.
• This role is more QMS orientated & dependant on skill set should have a very good knowledge of Aerospace requirements to create internal documents to meet AS9100 & customers’ expectations.
• Ideally the candidate must show that they can create / maintain QMS all procedures & be an approved signatory in support of the Group Quality Manager
• The role approves all required documents. Examples are but not limited to; Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, Technique sheets, Quality Plans, Approved supplier list, audit schedule

Skills and Experience:

The role:
The purpose of this role is to lead a team of Engine Casting Supplier Quality engineers in the Engines Castings department so having a good knowledge of this is essential. To manage the quality interaction with assigned suppliers, including the assessment of a given suppliers quality systems, supplier selection, and traditional quality assurance activities such as corrective action, containment, and process approval. To manage the successful re-sourcing of current product or process approval of new product utilising the tools of APQP. Frequent travel to supplier locations would be required in this role.

Manufacturing Engineer- 6 month contract with a view to perm role.
This is a staff position which is expected to function as a specialist with respect to a specific technical phase of the planning function and which generally falls within the major areas of releasing, Numerical Controls (NC) programming, processing, assembly processing, layout, work standards and manufacturing development.
Work assignments may be specialized in nature but may also be broad based with coordination between other staff personnel to complete a larger project.

This position requires thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts, heat treat operations, etc., gained through acquisition of an appropriate technical or university degree combined with a minimum of 1 year of appropriate manufacturing experience or a minimum of 2 years as a Manufacturing Engineer 1, or appropriate equivalent external experience. Most possess appropriate language and communication skills.
Extensive cam CNC programming experience of lathes, machining centres and mill turn technology. Experience of working in a metal cutting environment for a minimum of 5 years.

A Programming Engineer on 6 month contract is required to provide support to the Production Services team. The PE will be required to work with Engineering and generate at least 200 programmes for new machines and processes, 17 programmes per week based on the contractor being in place for 3 months
Manufacturers of mining drilling equipment. Working in the Production Services department generating CNC programmes through Delcam (experience not essential) Featurecam software. Clear definition for scope of project available from employment start, determined by programme generation schedule. Responsible for developing Tool Crib set up enabling tool path optimisation. Receiving compatible Pro E models from Design department and transferring to CNC programmes. Proving out programmes on shop floor where necessary.
