We’re growing and it’s due to our continued success that we’re expanding our Merchandising team too.

We’re looking for someone with a real passion for retail – especially Oliver Bonas or OB as we affectionately call ourselves. This role involves working as part of the 3 strong OB Merchandising team. You will be directly supporting everyone in the department to meet their objective of achieving the optimum stock distribution across all stores.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete weekly optimisations with line manager to maximise sales across all stores.
- Ensure the best possible allocation to stores to achieve ultimate stock distribution by using sales and grading information.
- Provide weekly sales reports and produce sales analysis.
- Ensure sufficient availability of stock from suppliers including chasing any open/delayed purchase orders.
- Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers to ensure any issues are dealt with efficiently and professionally.

About You:

We’ll also be looking for:

- Experience working as an Allocator within a Retail Head Office or exceptional shop floor skills and looking for your next move
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong MS computer knowledge - an advanced knowledge of Excel is essential.
- A high level of commercial awareness and a broad understanding of the retail sector as a whole.
- Strong, confident communication skills
- Proactive ‘I can do this and more’ attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to all tasks.
- An ability to work successfully within a team and independently.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent

We have a true HR generalist role on offer, so if you’re CIPD (or part) qualified, have experience of working in retail HR and are looking for a varied hands-on role then get in touch!

The diverse responsibilities will include:

- Proactive recruitment for store staff and management teams ensuring vacancies are minimised. This will include sourcing new and relevant methods to attract candidates, conducting competency based interviews, and reference checking.
- Co-ordinating training programmes for all new starters and measuring the effectiveness of this.
- Providing factual and legal ER advice to all company line managers in accordance with current legislation and company practice.
- Assisting with any coaching, grievance or disciplinary issues.
- Conducting Exit Interviews and monitoring and recording company staff turnover figures.
- Regularly reviewing existing company policies to ensure they are accurate and relevant and
- Assisting in the delivery of in-house training programmes.
- Assisting with and conducting Grievance and Disciplinary hearings.
- Preparing monthly statistics & reports.
- Updating & maintaining our HR database system (ADP Freedom).

About You:

You’ll provide a vital role and quickly become an integral part of our small but perfectly formed 3 person team. We’re looking for someone with a real passion for retail – especially Oliver Bonas or OB as we affectionately call ourselves.

We’ll also be looking for:

- A wide knowledge of HR practices and current legislation
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to all tasks.
- Clear and concise communication skills – you’ll be in constant contact with all our teams.
- Proactive ‘I can do this and more’ attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to organise, prioritise and evaluate your own workload
- A commitment to delivering a high level of service to all 300 staff members across Support Office and our shops.

Ideally you’ll have at least 2 years experience at HR Assistant/Advisor level preferably in a retail/ customer facing environment and be CIPD qualified/part qualified. This generalist role demands great flexibility and brings fabulous rewards and job satisfaction.
