Basic purpose/accountabilities:
To work as part of a team to provide the requested procurement services in support of the Clients day to day needs and to assist in the implementation of specific functional goals.
Primary functions/responsibilities:
Adherence with established procure to pay processes and compliance with policies and procedures
Procurement of best value materials, supplies, equipment and services in support of the Clients.
To ensure all scopes of supply and services adhere to expected procedure
Provision of timely feedback to the business in relation to any sourcing issues
Running e-sourcing events
Providing procurement systems administrator support
To work with the procurement team on delivering cost savings
To tender material supply agreements to ensure competitive pricing
Maintenance of material out line agreements and identification of optimisation and automation opportunities
Running of procurement control reports to defined frequency and procedure
Assistance in execution of agreements and contracts as part of a team
Maintain purchasing files as per control requirements

Good computer skills including in depth knowledge of SAP MM /SRM modules

Essential Qualifications

Control and Instrumentation or Automation Engineer with experience of technical leadership of projects within an Oil and Gas, Petrochem/Chemicals or other process industry. Must have experience of design and management of Control and Instrumented system projects such as;
Distributed Control Systems and associated process instrumentation
Emergency Shutdown Systems
Fire and Gas Systems and detection equipment
Fiscal Metering Systems
Burner Management and gas fired equipment control
The candidate should have at least 5 years experience of working on projects/systems for top tier COMAH sites (Onshore) or equivalent offshore experience.
The candidate should ideally be familiar with the principles of Functional Safety, SIL and associated British Standards BS EN 61508/11 and should have experience of chairing or participating in HAZOPs and SIL Determination assessments. Experience of technical authoring and the production of Instrumentation and Control procedures and standards would be desirable.
Candidates should ideally be degree qualified, preferably chartered or working towards chartered status. Typical project work requires familiarisation with Instrument and control equipment from sensor to final element and so applications from Instrumentation Engineers with Systems awareness or persons with suitable experience in lieu of the preferred qualifications shall be considered.
The role is to provide technical leadership and direction to projects involving Programmable Electronic Systems to ensure that the provided solution satisfies the clients agreed requirements. The role specifically involves direct liaison with the client and their representatives and so good communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will direct the technical aspects of projects through concept definition to final implementation and handover whilst managing design and other resources as the job requires.

Role:-
Responsible for the analysis and reporting of Clients samples including liquid hydrocarbons and coke as directed by Client leader.
Provide 8/12 hour cover on shifts as required.

Brief scope of Job
To work on a 21 continental shift rota in the Clients Laboratory, receipting and preparing samples for Chemical analysis. The laboratory is at the top of 3 flights of open plan stairs and the role will require the candidate to be on their feet continually
The activities involved are: Receipt and preparation of iron, steel and slag samples ready for chemical analysis.
Competencies Required:

Job Description:
To perform analysis of Oils, Waters, Raw Materials and other substances by instrumented and traditional chemistry methods. The candidate will follow strict procedures to ensure H&S of self and others and to satisfy the requirements of stringent Quality Management Standards. Role is expected to last up to 9 months and is to support our Laboratory Operations whilst we complete phased rehabilitation of a returning member of staff.
Activities involved:
The sampling, preparation and analysis of materials such as Coke Oven By-Products, waters and industrial aqueous effluent.
The operation and calibration of a number of lab. based and on-line analytical instruments including ICP, XRF, TOC, GC, TGA and FT-IR along with traditional chemical laboratory techniques.
Assist in defining an analytical route for non-routine analysis, support plant trials and liaise
with internal customers.
Assist in generating and the review of operational practises and safe working procedures.
Monitor and maintain spares and consumables stock levels.
Ensuring all routine safety checks are undertaken on equipment in line with job requirements
Ensuring that he/she work in compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements in the area.
Competencies Required:
Level 3 (A Level) or better qualification in Chemistry/Physical Sciences with experience of industrial laboratory analysis. Must be numerate, articulate and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
36.5 hour week, 8-4 Monday to Friday
