Skills, knowledge and experience: *Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to analyse, understand and explain complex requirements *Precision and attention to detail *Excellent written and oral communication skills *Ability to work independently in a front office role, bridging between a range of stakeholders *Skills in data manipulation and reporting software using Business Objects is required; knowledge of other tools e.g. SQL Server, ETL, QlikView, data marts, Visual Basic…etc would be useful, or a demonstration of clear potential to develop these skills from a solid base *Ability to assist with the production of detailed functional/technical specifications *Training experience useful *Willingness to assist with report and warehouse testing when required *Basic to intermediate level knowledge of insurance principles and practices and ideally practices specific to the London/Lloyd's market Major responsibilities and accountabilities The front office role will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders to: *Manage the data quality checks on data received from the market and ensure returns meet minimum standards *Act as a point of contact to resolves syndicates' issues with compiling and submitting data *Identify and characterise anomalies in the data and devise new processes to resolve data quality issues *Assist with the design and specification of new data capture and validation requirements and manage their development and implementation in conjunction with the IT department *Maintain and build data quality and management information reports using Business Objects and SQL Server, Qlikview and other reporting tools *Highlight issues relating to data quality and attend meetings with managing agents as part of the Data Standards Review. *Manage the internal data quality process amongst stakeholders across the Corporation *Train business users on software and data usage The client is in the insurance market.
