Functional: *To accurately assess the needs of residents and identify priorities of care *To administer all medication and treatments within the NMC guidelines and the company’s medication policy *Report any ill-health amongst residents and make request for GP / professional visit where necessary *Ensure that residents care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with residents, relatives and other health care professionals, and in accordance with NMC guideline & association policy *Assess all aspects of residents care needs, and provide health supervision and direct nursing care when required *Assess social and health care needs of new residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other residents *Maintain accurate records and ensure that each resident within the Home has an individualised care plan. Resident care plans to be reviewed on a monthly basis, or more frequently as and when required, in accordance with NMC guidelines & company policy *Ensure a clear and concise handover report is given to all relevant staff members at the end of each shift *Assist in the delivery of care for residents who are terminally ill or who have a progressive illness *To contribute to the protection of vulnerable adults from abuse *To answer assistance calls, telephones, take and pass on accurate messages *Carry out regular checks on residents to ensure their health, safety and well-being *Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained *To act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery professional Code of Conduct at all times *Ensure the provision of a high standard of nursing and social care which directly relates to care plans and the regularly reassessed needs of service users *Record and report resident observations in care plans to ensure maintenance of accurate and up to date records *Report immediately to the Registered Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a client, colleague, self or another *Follow security procedures in order to ensure the safety of residents, visitors, belongings and the property as a whole. Financial: *Ensure that all commodities used in and around the Home are sensibly conceived by all staff members e.g. monitor the usage of incontinence aids, wipes, dressings, electricity etc. Staffing: *Support new staff members in all aspects of their work in the Home giving help and guidance where appropriate. General: *Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence. Keep professionally updated in all areas of client expertise. *Adhere to all appropriate NMC guidelines/regulations *Maintain all logouts and record as required by both the Registering Authority and the Directors of the Company *Assist in the arrangements for fund raising *Ensure the security of the Home is maintained at all times *Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales *Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained

The ideal candidate will have experience not only dealing with users with Dementia but also wound care, meds and hospitalisation. Must be Registered Nurse with current NMC pin or may consider RMN with Nursing Home experience
