Our client, Large manufacturing company, has a very exciting opportunity for a Operations Manager. This role will incorporate 6 sites around the Country manufacturing Concrete Blocks. From the South Coast to the North West and the West of England to the East Midlands. The successful candidate will have the 6 plant managers directly reporting into them and will be tasked with, increasing efficiencies, decreasing wastage and overtime hours. The successful candidate will be able to use their previous experience to ensure that lean manufacturing techniques are continually applied, and that Health and Safety is made a priority at all times. The successful candidate will also push to increase OEE levels in each of the 6 plants making them as efficient as possible. This is a very exciting opportunity for the right client to join a large company and manage a site. You will be tasked with implementing conituous improvement strategeies, in particular 5s. You will also be responsible for pushing the OEE as high as possible. Health and safety is paramount and a successful track record will be evident. Supporting the Logistics & Distribution Teams by planning and managing pre-planned work schedules in the most cost efficient manner. Achieving high levels of customer service by effective routing & resource allocation to expedite customer expectations, whilst reducing uneconomic delivery profiles. Responsibilities include the effective use of the dedicated fleet whilst also building strong relationships with contract & external hauliers. They are required to use PC based applications including AX.
