Job Title; Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer Key Skills; Maintenance, Installation, PPM, PLC, Fault Finding, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical Salary; Basic Salary of £31,000 to £34,500 per annum plus paid call outs and substantial benefits Location, Leicester, Wigston, Loughborough, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Coalville,  We are seeking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join one of Europe's leading manufacturers of packaging solutions to the Pharmaceutical and Industrial sectors The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance for automatic, semi automatic and manual assembly equipment. In addition you are responsible for general repair and maintenance for site facilities and building services including warehouse and offices. This is a day shift role but candidates will be expected to participate in call outs every other week which will be paid, together with travel, in addition to the basic salary. Duties will include- - Preventative planned maintenance on all assembly/production equipment - Breakdown and reactive maintenance on all equipment ensuring minimum downtime - Analyse and establish root cause and implement corrective action and improvements - PLC programming (writing basic software and modifications) - Monitor machine performance and carry out necessary improvements - Maximise performance with innovative continuous ideas - Ensure all production and equipment is within H&S guidelines and, where required, make necessary improvements - Any other ad hoc duties e.g.. monthly fire alarm testing Our Ideal Candidate - - Time served apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical engineering - Background involving maintenance of a busy production line involving both mechanical and electrical machinery - Experience of PLC controlled systems and ability to write and modify basic software - Knowledge of compressors, pneumatics, AC/DC drives and inverters - Logical approach to fault finding - Experience of working within a fast paced production environment such as food or pharmaceutical  Benefits - - An excellent salary in the region of £31,000 to £34,500 per annum   - Paid call outs together with travel time  - 31 days holiday rising to 33 days (including statutory days) - Statutory Pension Scheme - Occupational Healthcare scheme  - Genuine opportunities for career progression  If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly through this website.
