Thursday 26th June 2008 Insurance company creates jobs in finance

Hundreds of jobs in finance will be made available in Wales after an insurance firm announced it will move into a new call centre, it has been reported.
Insurance company Admiral will create up to 450 jobs in finance over the next three years with over half going to a new call centre facility in Newport which will be open in autumn.
Huw Llewellyn, group facilities manager, said: "The opening of new offices was inevitable as part of our ongoing expansion, and our commitment to South Wales' major cities meant that Newport was an obvious choice."
Around 90 jobs in finance will be generated immediately when Admiral moves into the new facilities.
Ceri Assiratti, head of people services, said: "We will be looking to recruit for a range of jobs in claims at all levels from call handlers to experienced bodily injury case handlers as well as management positions."
Admiral has a portfolio of insurance companies and owns insurance brands Elephant and Confused.com.
