Tuesday 1st July 2008 Office development to create IT jobs in south Staffordshire

IT jobs could be brought to south Staffordshire when a business village is completed in the area, reports the Birmingham Post.
Up to 600 jobs in IT could be made available by May 2009 when work on the £4.5 million Dunston Business Village project is completed by developer Adrian MacLaughin.
Tony Joynson, project manager at InStaffs, told the Birmingham Post: "It was a wise decision and one that we believe could add an extra £50 million to the local economy when full.
"This is not like any other development we've seen in the county for some years and this is being reflected in the level of interest from potential occupiers."
A number of IT firms are expected to move into the business village with the most recent being software specialists EG Solutions which will employ over 40 people in jobs in IT in its new offices.
Adrian MacLaughin told the Birmingham Post: "The interest in the site has been immense and we are currently in negotiations with a number of domestic and international clients to pre-let some of the future offices being built."
Dunston Business Village will eventually play host to over 64,000 square feet of office space.
