Wednesday 2nd July 2008 Call centre jobs available in Mansfield

Nottinghamshire county council has opened a new call centre which is expected to generate over 100 jobs, reports the Mansfield Chad.
Up to 120 jobs will be created by the call centre Mercury House, on Sherwood Business Park with call centre operatives dealing with council queries from local residents.
Mick Storey, deputy leader of Nottinghamshire county council, told the Chad: "It is a customer service number which offers advice to people about council services.
"So far the scheme has been a real success and other local authorities have expressed an interest in establishing one in their area."
Nottinghamshire county council already employs 70 people at the call centre but will hire 50 more as part of a recruitment drive.
Project manager Sarah Thurlby, told the publication: "This is not a call centre in the traditional sense because it's not about answering as many calls as possible."
Nottinghamshire county council has had a call centre based at Sherwood Business Park since 2003.
