Tuesday 29th July 2008 Business Park to create administration jobs

Jobs in administration are set to be created in south Derbyshire when construction work on a new business park is completed, the Burton Mail has reported. Hundreds of jobs in administration are expected to be made available at the 200-acre Gresley Business Park as new businesses become interested in using the Tetron Point site for relocation or expansion plans. Bryan Huckerby, director at Lambert Smith Hampton, told the Burton Mail: "Gresley Business Park is attracting a lot of interest from local businesses seeking relocation or expansion premises. Its location means services, transport infrastructure and facilities for employees are convenient." Developers have invested £200 million in the creation of the business park in the last five years in a commitment to bring jobs in administration to the region. Speaking to the Burton Mail, Frank McArdle, chief executive of South Derbyshire District Council, said: "This speculative investment at Tetron Point is a positive sign of the confidence that businesses have in Swadlincote's growth. It will sustain jobs and development - it is of very high quality." William Davis Ltd is in charge of the development of Gresley Business Park which is predicted to be ready by the autumn.
